Memories:

Something remembered from the past once lost

Forgotten in the journey across the ocean

uprooted from childhood homes and sacred land

Warriors killed in bloodshed from battles forgotten

erased in history books I learned from

I want to gain some type of recollection

To recollect memories other than mine

And write them upon page upon pages upon walls

To display our recollection of the past once lost

And bring our memories back into existence

To bring lost stories back to life

To become whole again despite the missing fragments

To find home in the skin that the sun kissed us with

I want to recollect memories of the past once lost
